PTA Updates

Tiger Trek is coming up!  Grady Elementary’ s Tiger Trek Walkathon takes place Friday, January 29, 2016 and gives students the opportunity to exercise and raise money for their school!  This PTA fundraiser will have no food to buy, magazines to order or catalogs to look through, and 100% of the proceeds will go directly to Grady Elementary to benefit your children and our school.  The money raised will be used for massive technology improvements, teacher curriculum grants, and student enrichment programs.

Please ask your family members, friends and neighbors to support Grady by making donations towards your children’s participation in Tiger Trek.  To donate online, please click here: DONATE.  Our online donation site is CISCO-Certified Secure and accepts all credit cards for your tax deductible gift.   Or, Tiger Trek participants can collect cash or check made out to Grady PTA, place it in the envelope previously sent home from school, and return it to their teacher or the front office by January 15.

You can share the Grady donation page on social media by putting the link, https://gradytigers.org/donate, in a Facebook or Twitter post, or by pressing the “share” button at the top of the Grady Tiger Trek Donation Page.  If you share via social media, all people who donate will be able to select the donation to go on behalf of your child.  We will keep track of all online and paper results.

For information about the event and to see prizes, please click here: Tiger Trek.  New prizes are being added every day!

Important:  Friday, January 15th is the deadline to either return the donation envelope or make a minimum $35 online donation if your child wants to wear their new Tiger Trek t-shirt for the walkathon.  Tiger Trek shirts may be worn during all spirit days at school!  We will still collect donations up until January 29th, but t-shirts may not be available for the day of the event.

Beef O'Brady's Family Night – January 13. The monthly Beef O'Brady's Family Night will be held next Wednesday, January 13th.  Please bring your family for a night of great food and good fun!  Be sure to tell your server you are with Grady Elementary School!

URGENT YEARBOOK ALERT:  There has been an overwhelming response to yearbook dedication ads this year and we have sold out.  We might be able to add some more space to the yearbook to accommodate additional dedications if there is enough interest.  If you are thinking of ordering a dedication ad for your child – YOU MUST ACT NOW as we will NOT have space available down the road for last minute requests.

If you want to inquire about getting dedication ad space – send an email to[email protected] letting us know what size dedication ad you are interested in.  Full Page ads are $100, Half Pages are $50 and Quarter Page ads are $25.  We will see what requests come in and determine if we can add any space to accommodate.  Once that has been determined we will work with you to get the dedication ad details (pictures, wording, etc.) and payment.

Yearbooks can be ordered online at:https://ybpay.lifetouch.com; useYearbook ID Code:  11885216.  Please direct any questions on the yearbook to Janella Enajibi at[email protected].

County-wide Reflections Art Contest.  The winners of the Grady Elementary Reflections Art Contest will have their work featured at the Reflections Art Gallery on January 10, 2016 from 2 pm to 4:30 pm at Jefferson High School for the county-wide Reflections Art Contest.  It is an honor for our students to have their work on display with the opportunity for further awards than what they have won at Grady.  We wish the Reflections winners, Simrah Fahimuddin, Elijah Carpena and Connor Shea, good luck at the county level.
