PTA Updates

Dear Members of the Grady Elementary Community,

Thank you very much for attending the Fall Festival on Friday.  We hope that you enjoyed spending time with your family at the event.  Thank you very much to each of you who volunteered at the Fall Festival!  It was wonderful to see so many of you volunteering at the booths, grill, bounce houses and bake sale.  We saw many yearbook photographers volunteering at the event as well.  Thank you for making the event a fun time for our children and a success for our school.  Notably, the event grossed $5,700 in revenue before expenses; net profit may be close to $5,000.  This money will be reinvested in our school.  So, not only did the event provide a fun, enriching experience for Grady students and a great opportunity for parents and teachers to work together as volunteers, it also brought money back to our school.  Thank you so much for being a part of this wonderful event.

There were several winners of the Silly Dilly Tot Spot Raffle.  However, one item, a large fabric tepee, remains unclaimed.  The winning raffle ticket number is 1038009.  If you have the winning ticket, please hold onto it and notify the PTA by return email.   If you won and have not yet picked up your prize, prizes are available in the front office.

Coming up next week, at 8:30 am on Thursday, October 31, in front of the school is the Storybook Parade.  Please come see Grady students dressed as characters from their favorite books.  There will be a parade around the front of the school starting at 8:30 am.  Please line up along the sides of the sidewalk leading out of the front office, leaving lots of space for the parade to pass.  School personnel will be on hand to direct you to the right area to watch the parade.

Also, on Thursday, October 31 from 5 pm to 8 pm, please come by PDQ located at 2207 S Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, FL 33629 (tel: (813) 254-7373) for Spooky Spirit Night.  PDQ will be handing out treat bags to PDQ will be giving away treat bags to all Grady kids, their siblings and young friends.  PDQ will also donate a portion of any food/drink sales to Grady.  If you like, you can stop by PDQ before you trick-or-treat and enjoy some of their treats and their not so spooky spirit.

Sincerely,

Grady Elementary PTA
