Dear Members of the Grady Elementary Community,

We had a very successful, well attended Mom’s Night Out at Kona Grill on Monday, September 30.  Thank you, moms, for coming out. Thank you, dads, partners and grandparents for making it possible for our moms to enjoy a great evening out.

We now have a Dad’s Club Coordinator, Adam Vance.  Thank you, Adam, for taking on this important role.  Adam is planning an upcoming Dad’s Night and we’ll keep you in the loop about this event.

Tomorrow, Thursday October 3, is Conference Night.  From 4-7 pm, Grady PTA will have a table outside, near the front office, where we will be conducting a uniform swap.  We have lots of uniforms of different sizes ready for the swap.  To engage in the swap please bring any part of a uniform (shirt, shorts, dress) to evenly swap for another size of uniform (shirt, shorts, dress).  You can swap a shirt for a dress or shorts for a shirt, etc.  If you don’t have uniform to swap, you can pay $1/each for any of the uniform items on the table.  We will also have information about the Grady Yearbooks, which now can be ordered online (the topic of another upcoming email update).  Also at this table, you can sign up for the PTA and sign up to buy a Grady Mom shirt (a sample shirt will be on display).  If you have already signed up for the PTA, your membership cards will be ready for pick up at this table.  When you register your PTA membership card, you’ll be eligible for great deals and discounts at places like LegoLand.  Also, we will have hard copies of the October Grady Gazette PTA Newsletter available and a signup sheet for non-PTA members to sign up to receive newsletters and updates via email.

Friday, October 4, 2013, from 7:30 am to 8:00 am the Fifth Grade will be selling Krispy Kreme Doughnuts in the front of the school, near the car line.  Doughnuts are $7 for a box of one dozen doughnuts or $1 for a single doughnut.  Cash or check only please.  Please buy doughnuts to help the Fifth Grade Class and possibly make your co-workers happy in the process.

Friday, October 4, from 5-8 pm, is Grady Family Night at PDQ, located at 2207 S Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, FL 33629 (PDQ tel: (813) 254-7373).  Please skip the cooking and join us for a fun night of chicken and fries. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Grady Elementary PTA.
