Congratulations to 7 Grady students whose art has been selected to be displayed at the upcoming Florida State Fair from February 9 to February 20. Fifth grade students, Cassandra Kyres, Faith House, Hanna Nishida, Sydney Nichols, Keely Lueckeman and Lilly Lee, all have had their art submitted for the Black History Learn, Empower, Advocate, Dream (“LEAD”) Contest selected to be displayed at the fair. Additionally, second grade student, Alfred Roush had his Picasso-themed artwork selected to be displayed in the fair’s Youth Art Show. Thank you very much to the many volunteers who volunteered at Tiger Trek! We greatly appreciate all your hard work, which made the event a success. We have raised over $9.000.00 from Tiger Trek and this money will directly benefit the free tutoring program, the art program, the Spring Musical and many other enriching events at Grady Elementary. Please keep sending in Box Tops for the school-wide competition. Box Tops are due on February 9, 2017. Please clip and send in box tops in clear Ziploc-style bags, with a maximum of 50 Box Tops per bag. Please write your child’s name and grade and the number of Box tops on a slip of paper in the clear Ziploc-style bag. The grade with the most Box Tops wins a popsicle party.
