Staff and families in the Grady community have been inpacted by the hurricane and we are here to provide resources and support.  This page will be updated with available help for those in need as well as volunteers opportunites for anyone wanting to provide assistance.

Coffee and Charging

This week from 7:10am - 10am in the Teachers Lounge, families affected by the storm are welcome to come and charge their devices and enjoy a cup of coffee.  

Meals

Grady Meals 9/30-10/3

The Grady community has extended dinner through tomorrow 10/3 for families & staff impacted by the storm.

Please fill out the attached form by 11:30am on 10/3 in order to receive the meal (chicken or steak) Donated by Outback.

Why Not Boutique

Why Not Boutique has put together a rack of new women's clothing for anyone who is in need after Hurricane Helene.  Everything from work appropriate tops and dresses, to denim sizes 24-32, to t-shirts.  The rack is located on their side patio every day they're open from 11-6.

Butter Bug Boutique

Our friends at Butter Bug Boutique have been collecting donations for families in need.  Families are welcome to stop by the store to get what they need.

Stop by Laurel & Jack between 10am-8pm Monday through Saturday to pick up needed clothing, household items and small furniture.

Clothes to Kids

Families in crisis who need clothes can get a weeks worth of clothing free of charge.  Donations are being received from Butter Bug Boutique and processed in store for families with school age children in need of clothes.  For families who don't have time to shop, volunteers will lovingly make a bag, so it can be picked up by a friend.

Child Care

Yellow Bird Studio

Yellow Bird Studio is offering one Free Open Studio session this upcoming Saturday from 10am-2pm for local families impacted by Hurricane Helene.  If you're in need of care for your child age 4 and older, you may sign up on their registration page.   Please make sure to select the Westshore location and the correct number of participants when you are registering.  Your child will need to bring a lunch and a drink.

YMCA After School Program Scholarships

The YMCA after school program is opening spots for families needing help with child care and provides a sliding scale discount for famlies who apply.  Please submit the below listed items to [email protected].
