Grady's Storybook Parade takes place Friday, October 30, at approximately 8:30 am in front of the school. All students are welcome and encouraged to wear a costume to school that represents a character found in a story book. Students are encouraged to bring the book with their character and display the book while walking in the parade. Please remember to send your student with a change of school clothes (uniform or spirit shirt and uniform shorts, jean shorts or skirt) so that they can change out of their costumes after the parade. Please, no fake swords, knives, guns, etc. or any other costume paraphernalia that might get lost during the day.
The teachers and administration also dress up for the Storybook Parade. For pictures of teachers' costumes from last year, please click here: Teachers During 2014 Storybook Parade.
Please do not park at the U.S. Post Office located at 1002 S. Church Avenue. The post office will tow cars that park there. Also, please do not park in the car loop or the remainder of the fire lane north of the car loop exit. The Storybook Parade will be delayed if anyone parks at the post office or in the fire lane and the delay will continue until all illegally parked cars are moved.
While you are waiting for the Storybook Parade to begin, enjoy a free cup of Kahwa coffee from Grady PTA.
