Also, the deadline to return fundraiser payments and envelopes has been extended until Monday, September 15, 2014. 

Grady Elementary is having its first Family Night on Wednesday, September 17, 2014, from 2:15 pm to 8 pm at Yogurtology, located near school at 1202 S Church Ave, Tampa, FL 33629 (store tel: (813) 251-2717).  Please come by after school or in the evening and enjoy yogurt creations, and know that a portion of your purchase is going to support our school.  Please be certain to mention Grady Elementary at the register to ensure that our school gets credit for your purchase.

Grady Elementary is having a Fall Box Tops Competition that ends on October 15, 2014.  Please start sending in Box Tops For Education clipped from a variety of products into school via homework folders or bring them to the front office.  Each box top is worth 10 cents to our school.   Please send your clipped box tops in clear Ziploc-style bags with a maximum of 50 per bag.   Please include a slip of paper with your child’s name, grade level, teacher’s name and the number of box tops.  The classroom that collects with the most box tops as of October 15, 2014, wins a party and the student bringing in the most box tops wins two passes to Playgrounds of Tampa, an indoor bounce house and party center located near Gandy Blvd. 

Finally, don’t forget that the Earning for Learning contest is happening at WestShore Plaza from now until the end of September.  Just take your mall receipts for any purchases at WestShore Plaza (including food court and movie purchases) to the Guest Services in front of Macy’s to enter a drawing to win $2,000 for Grady and a prize for yourself, too.  Grady was a grand prize winner during last year’s contest and we hope to win again.
