Thank you for the great response to our request for Teacher Appreciation Week and Book Fair volunteers that we sent yesterday. It is very nice to know that we can rely upon our members to help out. To volunteer for the Spring Book Fair (preview date: May 19, book fair: May 20-27), please contact Mr. Tsourakis at [email protected].
We have excellent news. We have developed a new non-peel car magnet with Grady’s new logo and website name. The magnets are 4 inches by 6 inches and oval. They are guaranteed not to peel by Teamwork Imprinted Sportswear (they are a silkscreen, painted-on magnet as opposed to a sticker on top of a magnet). These kinds of magnets are a bit more expensive, but designed to look good for a long time. These magnets are not a fundraiser for us. They cost us $4.20 each plus shipping.
You can get one of these beautiful new magnets for free by rejoining the PTA with a family membership ($10) for the 2014-2015 year. If you take advantage of this offer, you can join next year’s PTA now and get a great new magnet to show your Grady pride. We are presently entering into a Florida PTA contest (called 14 by ’14) designed to see which PTA can sign up the most members for next year. The idea behind the contest is for school PTAs to start each year with an established membership base. We hope that you will consider joining the PTA for next year and take advantage of this great offer. Alternately, you can purchase a magnet for $5 each.
A form to sign up for next year’s PTA and/or purchase the magnets is attached to this email. A hard copy of this form is also coming home in backpacks today. Please just send in the form in student folders (with cash or check) or drop the form and payment in the PTA lock box in the front office (if you use the lock box, please ask office staff to help you). The magnets will be sent home in backpacks as soon as payment is received. For any questions about magnets, please email Jennifer Narvaes at [email protected].
Please let us know what you think of the new magnets. We are the first South Tampa school to get this kind of silkscreen magnet and we hope that our school's magnet will be a trendsetter.
Sincerely,
Grady Elementary PTA
