PTA Updates

Grady Elementary School has received notice from the State of Florida that Grady Elementary ranks in the Top 10% of all elementary schools in the State of Florida in the following four categories: (1) English Language Arts Achievement; (2) Mathematics Achievement; (3) Science Achievement; and (4)  English Language Arts Improvement.   This is a remarkable achievement and shows that Grady Elementary teachers, students and parents are all working hard to create amazing outcomes for Grady students.

The State of Florida's notification included a hand-written note from Governor Rick Scott addressed to Principal Dosal, which stated "Great job!"  We are so pleased that Governor Scott has taken note of our school's success and we are as proud as ever to receive confirmation that Grady's programs are among the very finest in the State.  To see a picture of the notification and hand-written note, please click here:  Grady: Top 10% in State of Florida

Yesterday, the Reflections Art Program concluded with an ice cream party and awards ceremony.  To see pictures of the party and awards ceremony, please click here:  Reflections Art Program.  To download a slide show of the art that won the Reflections Art Contest for each grade level, please click here:  Slide Show.  The winning art will proceed to the Hillsborough County Reflections Art Contest, which will feature a January art show and award program.   A big thank you to art teacher, Ms. Grigsby, and to the volunteers who helped with the Reflections Art Program this year!  The big smiles on students’ faces at the art awards party showed us that this program is really worthwhile.
