Dear families,

Grady Elementary was recently named a 2025-2027 National PTA School of Excellence, one of only 321 PTAs and schools nationwide to be recognized with this designation.

National PTA’s School of Excellence program supports and celebrates partnerships between PTAs and schools that strengthen connections with families and work to improve the educational experience and school environment for every child. To celebrate our achievements, National PTA presented us with a certificate and School of Excellence banner to hang in our school.

Decades of research show that family engagement and family-school partnerships are just as essential as other school improvement strategies. Becoming a National PTA School of Excellence began with the joint commitment of our PTA and administrative team to work together to welcome all families, communicate effectively, support student success, speak up for every child, share power and collaborate with the community.

Our school successfully mastered these commitments, and we are extremely proud of the work that we have done together. However, the path to excellence is a journey, not a destination, and we encourage your continued participation toward our goals.

Thank you for your commitment to our students and our school and for helping us achieve this noteworthy designation!

Plant Panther Cubs Color Guard Program, a community-based enrichment opportunity for elementary and middle school students interested in learning the art and sport of color guard.

Through this program, students will learn basic flag techniques, movement skills, teamwork, and performance fundamentals while building confidence and making new friends. Participants will spend the fall season learning a routine that they will proudly perform in front of a live audience at Plant High School's Middle School Night Football Game on September 25th.

The program is open to students in grades K-8 and is designed for beginners with no prior experience required. Our goal is to provide a fun, engaging activity that encourages creativity, teamwork, and school community involvement.
