Come on down to Grady's Kindergarten Round Up on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 8:30 am.  Parents, grandparents and children are welcome to attend. Adults, please bring your government-issued identification with you in order to check in to the school for the program.  The program starts promptly at 8:30 am in the Kathryn Hance Media Center.

School administrators and each of the Kindergarten teachers will speak. The program will conclude with a tour of each of the four Kindergarten classes. No RSVP is necessary. Please tell your friends with future Kindergarteners about this program so that they can come see all that Grady Elementary has to offer.

The Grady Spelling Bee is coming! Written spellingcompetitions will occur in each classroom on December 10 and the school-wide competition featuring the winner from each class will occur on December 17, at 8:30 am on stage in the cafeteria.  All class winners will receive a certificate of award a Spelling Bee T-shirt and a Yogurtology gift card.  The school-wide first, second and third place winners will receive trophies.  The school champion will proceed to represent Grady at the Scripps Regional Spelling Bee (payment of the registration fee for the regional event is included in the first prize).  We are very excited about the Spelling Bee and we hope you join in our excitement!  For any questions, please email Grady Spelling Bee Committee Chair, Suzan Kumm, at [email protected]

The Grady Barnes & Noble Bookfair will take place on Friday, December 5, 2014 from 4 pm until 7:30 pm.  Guest readers will read to kids, and there will a craft table for kids to make a craft.   Mrs. Ward will read The Elf on the Shelf; Mr. Florio will read How The Grinch Stole Christmas. Then at 7 pm, Mr. Tsourakis will read The Polar Express.  Complimentary hot cocoa and cookies will be served at 7:15 pm

Plus, gift wrapping by PTA members of any item purchased at Barnes & Noble in exchange for a donation will be available from 4pm – 7pm
