Kindergarten Round Up

Kindergarten Round UpParents interested in sending their children to Grady Elementary and their children are welcome to attend.

School administrators and each of the Kindergarten teachers will speak. The program will conclude with a tour of each of the four Kindergarten classes. No RSVP is necessary. Please tell your friends with future Kindergarteners about this program so that they can come see all that Grady Elementary has to offer.

Pirate Reading Night

Please join us for the 6th Annual Family Reading Night

Thurday, January 16 from 6-7pm.

Children will hear stories from Celebrity Readers from Local Krewes! Students may come dressed as pirates or in pajamas.

There will be free books, beads, hot chocolate, cookies, and fun!!!

PDQ Family Night
Please come support our school’s family night this Thursday, January 9 from 5-8 pm at PDQ, located at 2207 S. Dale Mabry Highway. Please mention Grady Elementary when you order and a portion of your purchase will be donated to our school.
Box Tops
Please start sending in your box tops for the box tops competition that ends on February 14, 2014. Each box top is worth 10 cents to our school.

Please send your box tops into your child’s class in clear Ziplocs with a maximum of 50 per bag. Please include a slip of paper with your child’s name, grade level and the number of box tops. The grade level with the most box tops collected as of February 14, 2014, wins a party.

Uniform SwapAlso under the Pavilion during the Winter Concert, we will have a free uniform swap.  If you have uniforms that no longer fit your students, please bring them to the school’s front office from December 17 through December 19 and give them to Mrs. Taylor.  We will organize all the uniforms by size and make them available for free at the Winter Concert.  You do not have to donate a uniform in order to receive a uniform.

  • Intermediate Chorus

** If you would like to donate to the bake sale, please drop your bake goods (preferably individually wrapped) in the front office by 2:00 p.m. on December 19.

** Student Performers are expected to remain for the entire program. Students will not be released until the program is finished.

Winter Concert Parent Note

Dear Parents,

The night of the Winter Concert is fast approaching!

Just a few reminders for everyone

  • Holiday attire or Grady Uniforms (Navy tops and Navy or Khaki bottoms).
  • No shorts please.
  • The weather is forecast to be a high in the mid to upper 70’s on Thursday, with evening temperatures in the high 60’s to low 70’s. Please plan accordingly.

1st up to 5th Grade in Chorus can begin reporting to Mr. Florio’s room, 26, starting at 5 o’clock.

Kindergarten to Mrs. Tolbert’s room, 3, at 5:15

Mrs. Driggers' and Mrs. Brinson’s EELP student’s to their rooms by 5:30
